Our history

ASIMAR S.A. is a company whose management was a pioneer as a dock concessionaire in Chile, with a wide range of nautical, port, industrial, tourist and sports activities.

During the 20 years that the pier that bears his name has operated, it has efficiently allowed the development of Maritime activities in the Quintero Bay without accidents, without loss of ship days due to failure in their services and with a wide range of Nautical Activities and Port, Industrial, Tourist and Sports.

Some of the main services, in addition to the permanent, that have been fulfilled through the Asimar Dock:

Unloadings of Coal for CHILGENER and Copper Concentrate for ENAMI between the years 1983 and 1989.

It operated with twelve own ships of Pesquera Santa Lucía of Dutch Capitals, between the years 1993 and 1996.

Together with Pesquera Quintero, whose ship Doña María also used the pier.

Chilean Capital Company, was born as a "Limited Company" in 1984 and became a Public Limited Company in 1998.

Its main activity is carried out in Quintero Bay through the ASIMAR Dock Operation (former - fiscal dock), whose name was officially given in 1993 by SHOA.

The Asimar Dock is a Primary Customs Zone, adjacent to the Customs Office. It is in front of the Harbor Master's Office and has an office specially set up for the SAG, shared with the SNS and the International Police (Ship Reception)

In March 2005, the Evaluation of the I.S.P.S. Code was presented. and its Protection Plan for the Port Facility was approved to be definitively recognized as I.S.P.S. on October 11, 2005, according to Declaration No. 202808, and its official delivery took place on December 28, 2005, by the Captain of Puerto Franco Lange.

Mission and vision

Our Mission: Operate the Asimar Dock Port Facility, ISPS Certified and Customs Primary Zone, efficiently and apt to serve the Docks and Maritime Terminals in Quintero Bay; larger foreign service and cabotage ships; minor ships; tugboats ; providers ; workshops and authorities related to the maritime port area, complying with the national and international regulations of maritime trade, the prevention and combat of aquatic pollution, the protection of the environment and the practices of Corporate Social Responsibility.-

Our Vision: To project ourselves as a sustainable port logistics platform, essential in the central zone of the country, for insular cabotage ships, larger ships with project cargoes, bunkering ships and all maritime port users of the Quintero Bay.-

Increase the number of Services required by ships that call at Quintero Bay, with a quality level of International ISPS characteristics.

Maintain the dock in optimal conditions for the unloading of oversized packages, and thus maintain over time this important operational and commercial alternative in the central area of the country.

Asimar S.A. Over time, it has maintained its self-deprivation from participating in markets to which the company or port facility provides services, not having boat services, not being a ship agent, not participating in maintenance or diving activities, in order to deliver an independent service to users who participate in such activities.

Develop all its activities with a principle of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which together with allowing its commercial objectives, project it to the Community as an organization, which despite its commercial and lucrative role, is closely related to the Community.
